My strawberry plants in the greenhouse are setting fruit already. But....there are some funny deformed fruits that puzzle me . I wonder if anyone knows what is happening here.
I know the photo is not good, but my little camera is a bit out of its depth with close-ups.

Fig. 3 - Deformed fruit may be caused by frost damage, inadequate pollination, or insects pull off deformed fruits and discard.

Thanks Patsy. I will pull them off.
I searched all over the net for pictures that would show the problem. The fruits are not really deformed as in mis shapen, but have a funny green bristly growth, like scales. I've never seen it before and was really puzzled by it.
