Photo a day.....January 12th.

This is the graveyard around the church at Godshill.

I don't find graveyards morbid places. I want to be buried rather than cremated. It is comforting to think that years later someone may find my last resting place a nice place to visit.
(Better pick a nice graveyard now!)

I can actually identify to your responses in every example...your ladyship..!

It's pretty but I'd like a little shade also.

I could have listed this as one of the 5 too: I enjoy visiting graveyards also, especially older ones found in Europe & the US east coast. We visited a number in Scotland, Germany and France while taking parents to visit their roots. I can tell you on the west coast we were closely following what was happening in NY, PA & DC. Does it seem like you can remember the oddest specific things about that day and those around it? Normal things I'd never remember about another day are still very vivid in my mind.

It was odd Petunia. A very odd day. I found people's lack of interest amazing, but funnily enough, by next day it was flags everywhere. One woman even had two stuck in her hair.
One big memory was trying to phone home. We couldn't get through for hours. We tried at every petrol station that we could see had a phone. Our son (at that time 22) was in with the neighbours and when he'd had a conversation with us he was so relieved he was sick all over the place.
