Photo a day.....13th January.
This is the view we get of the sea a few yards from our front door. All along the road these palms grow in groups in the front gardens. Unfortunately there is not one in our garden.
In June the "palms" flower with the most delightful creamy white pompoms made up of thousands of tiny sweet smelling flowers. Each palm has five or 6 of these pompoms....and walking or driving down the road in June feels like being feted by the American style Cheerleaders....all pompoms in the air. It is a particularly pleasant time of year here then. The holiday makers come in droves for Whitsun, then it goes quietish for about 6 weeks until late July when it all goes crazy.

The dogs always sniff the bottom of these trunks as we go by.

I usually let Lulu...the grey one....lead the way as she knows where she wants to go. It's a different route each day. She never wants to go to the beach for some reason we can't fathom as she used to enjoy it. If I let her off lead down there now she comes home. It is just down the bottom of the road but I still don't like her doing it!

Freddie...the blond one...is such a dollop he is perfectly happy wherever we go. Last year he picked up a blue dummy on the beach. When he finds a treasure he always runs laps with it. He looked so amusing running very fast round and round with the blue dummy in his mouth. I really wished I'd had the camera with me on that occasion!
